[ON REVERSE] OLD SWEDES CHURCH - GLORIA DEI Located Swanson Street, near Christian Street The oldest church building in Philadelphia and one of the oldest in America. Completed and first used for services July 2, 1700. The church still holds services regularly. Some very old tombstones are found in the adjoining graveyard, the oldest legible one dating 1708.
