Auburn dealers exhibit Grand Prix winner model – 1929
Recently a Cord Front Drive Cabriolet was awarded the highest prize ever given a standard American car by winning the Grand Prix plus the Cup of Honor at Monte Carlo. This prize was won in competition with more than 50 of the world’s finest custom built automobiles as well as other standard cars. The Cord was strictly a production car and was bought from a New York dealer by a resident of New York who shipped the car to Monte Carlo and entered it there. The attractive window display shown above is that of the Auburn-Chicago Company and is one of many similar window displays set up by Auburn-Cord distributors and dealers in various sections of the country.
