From this Fairmount neighborhood image, one can see the Inquirer Building, in the far right of the city skyline.
Callowhill Street no longer extends to 24th Street. In the 1960s, traffic modifications isolated the Eakins Oval and created an entrance to the Vine Street Expressway, thus terminating Callowhill Street at 20th Street. The area shown in these photographs has been occupied since 1959 by the Park Towne Place Apartment Homes.
