Col. Elbert J. Hall, left, and Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky, with the first new De Vaux car just before it was expressed to Los Angeles for the Los Angeles Automobile Show. Col. Hall, vice president in charge of engineering for De Vaux-Hall Motors, built the motor and designed the chassis. Count Sakhnoffsky designed the body.
