A group of gentlemen, and a few women subscribed to a cause not mentioned in this particular booklet, which is labeled on the outside cover as No 8 and on the inside as No 10. They pledged and/or paid a certain amount, both of which are recorded in this manuscript. Names such as Robert Ralston and Abraham Kintzing are listed. If they are the same people, it would mean that men such as Robert Ralston (1761-1836), and Abraham Kintzing (1763-1835) well known philanthropists in Philadelphia, were part of this association.
