Capacity crowds witnessed each performance of the “Fashions of the World” revues each afternoon and evening at the Chicago Automobile Show in the International Amphitheatre during the eight days of its run (Nov. 6-13) This view shows the grand finale of the spectacle engaging beautiful women of 20 nations in native costumes, evening gowns and furs as a dramatic means of glorifying the 1938 motor cars. Leaders of the industry joined with the public in proclaiming this year’s show as the peer of them all in Chicago, where original showmanship of a brilliant character has been the rule for the past three years. Crowds have packed the central arena to view the “Fashions” performances and the huge amphitheatre where space permits the display of complete lines in motor cars, trucks, trailers, parts and accessories, along with a number of special educational exhibits.
