Notes: In this miniature, a Greek cross below an eye emanating rays have been incised into gold leaf. It begins the Penitential Psalms. The iconography of the miniature is highly unusual. The Penitential Psalms typically begin with an image of David in prayer or the Last Judgment. The method of decoration and the unusual iconography suggest that this miniature was added at a later date.
