This is a ca. 1909 interior view of the rebuilt Chestnut Hill Branch.  The original building was demolished in 1907, and the new library was rebuilt on the same site, with funding from an Andrew Carnegie grant.  It is the eighth of the Carnegie-funded libraries in Philadelphia.

The main level consists of the adult reading area, references, and the children's room.  The basement consists of staff spaces, such as a kitchen, lunchroom, and bathrooms.

The Chestnut Hill branch is located at 8711 Germantown Avenue, and serves the Chestnut Hill community.
