Notes:
Dodge outlasts competitors – This 1924 Dodge roadster, owned by Florence E. Lawson, of Huntington Woods, Mich., won the “idling” championship in the 14th annual Old Car Festival at Greenfield Village, Dearborn, Mich. The Dodge, one of 300 antique automobiles at the giant rally viewed by 29,000 persons, won first place in the contest to travel as slowly as possible without stalling or clutching. The four-cylinder Dodge outlasted competing six-cylinder Lincolns, Cadillacs and Buicks just after the announcer theorized the winning car would be the one with the most cylinders.
