Notes:
DISTANT COUSINS – the 1978 Dodge Diplomat and the 1919 Dodge touring car are nearly 60 years apart but share a common feature – tilt steering wheels. Diplomat’s optional tilt wheel has multi-positions for added driving ease. The old 1919 wheel slid up from the steering column to make it easier to enter or exit the vehicle. While the 1919 Dodge offered few options, the new 1978 Diplomat has a host of comfort and convenience features. Details on the 1978 Diplomat will be made public on September 8 when the new Dodge line is shown to the news media.
