JAPAN BOUND – The first shipment of Dodge Omni subcompact automobiles to Japan is driven aboard the Venus Diamond at Pier 200A in Wilmington, Calif. The Omnis will be marketed in Japan by Mitsubishi, which sells is cars and trucks in the United States through Dodge and Chrysler-Plymouth dealers. Plans call for the shipment of 150 units per month during 1979. The front-wheel drive Omnis are manufactured by Chrysler in Belvedere, Ill.
