340 SIX PACK – Standard equipment on the New Dodge Challenger T/A includes a 340 Cubic inch V-8 with 3 in-line, 2 bbl. Holey carburetors. With a torque ratings of 345 pounds-feet @ 3400 rpm, the compression ratio is 10.5:1. The intake pushrod clearance holes have been relocated to improve air flow in the ports and the valve gear has greater durability. Bulkheads have been strengthened to allow four bolt main bearings.
