Photolithograph of the interior of the Integrity Trust Company Building at 713-721 Chestnut Street. Image shows interior alterations designed by architect Paul P. Cret and constructed 1923-1929.
The Union Trust Company building was designed by Willis Gaylord Hale (1848 - 1907), and built in 1888. A new facade, new roof, and alterations to the height and interior of the middle section were designed by Paul Philippe Cret (1876 - 1945) and executed from 1923-1929. From 1926-1928 additional alterations made to the 713 Chestnut portion which was then demolished circa 1962. In 2008-2009 715-719 Chestnut portion was converted to a restaurant.
The building has also been known as the Commonwealth Title & Trust Company; Singerly Building; Union Trust Restaurant; Quaker City National Bank; Union Trust Co.; Chestnut Street National Bank; Jack Kellmer Jewelers; Integrity Trust Company Building.
