Notes: Erskine "The Little Aristocrat", South Bend, Ind. Named after president of Studebaker. (Top) Dynamic New Erskine Chassis. Improved chassis design in Studebaker's Dynamic New Erskine makes for exceptional strength. Sturdy side members with 2 inch flanges, strongly braced cross members and 4 point engine suspension (on rubber) give a solid foundation for large new bodies. Double drop construction has lowered the center of gravity and materially added to safety on these new cars. Wheelbase is 114 inches. Timken taper roller bearings are used at 6 points. (Bottom)Dynamic New Erskine Body Design. The beautiful lines of Studebaker's Dynamic New Erskine models are emphasized by the skillful handling of tri-lateral belt mouldings in contrasting colors, a distinctive new treatment originated by Studebaker artists. High lustre is obtained by 24 finishing operations.
