Labyrinthian Oil Cooling New Hudson-Essex Advancement

Proper temperature of the oil in Hudson-Essex motors are assured by a new oil cooling device incorporated in the oil reservoir pan. The oil as it leaves the upper pan drops down into the lower pan and flows through these labyrinthian passages where it drops 45 degrees in temperature before it reaches the pump to again be pumped through the dual delivery to the front and rear of the motor. Cool oil possesses more body than is exhibited by hot oil, thus giving a heavier protective film on the operating parts. This is one of many exclusive Hudson-Essex features that assure long service life free from annoying troubles. 1931
