Reproduction of a pen-and-ink drawing by Frank Taylor depicting a view of the corner of Sixth and Walnut Streets. Electric trolleys share the road with early automobiles and horse-drawn vehicles. The newly erected structure of the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company faces Washington Square. The building replaced rows of once fashionable residences which had been converted into offices.
