Notes: Evinrude Motors, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. RUGGED CONSTRUCTION – of the all-new 1968 Evinrude Skeeter is shown as it leaps for the sky in this new winter sport called Snowmobiling. Substantial weight reductions have been accomplished on all models without sacrificing Evinrude’s reputation for rugged construction. The Sports model Skeeter weight has been reduced approximately 60 pounds and is now competitive with most units in its class. Due to the weight reduction and the increase in horsepower, up from 14 hp to 16 hp, the unit is capable of speeds up to 40 miles per hour.
