Notes: Evinrude Motors, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. FOR THE YOUNG AT HEART – Evinrude’s 1968 Skeeter shows its agility to glide over deep snow with its new improved maneuverability. Weight reductions, weight distribution and general refined vehicle balance improved maneuverability by as much as 30 per cent. Substantial weight reductions have been accomplished on all models without sacrificing Evinrude’s reputation for rugged construction – the sport track model being approximately 60 pounds lighter. With an increase in horsepower up from 14 hp to 16 hp and the weight reduction, the unit is capable of speeds up to 40 miles per hour.
