Notes: Evinrude Motors, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. EVINERUDE’S weight distribution and maneuverability were measurably improved by moving the engine forward. With snowmobile trailering on the increase, this improves trailering by proper load balance while towing. Evinrude has the only neutral lock-out shift for starting and idling, which serves well as a safety feature. The turning radius for the Sport track model was reduced by as much as 30 percent, compared to 1967 models.
