Notes: Gift - Chilton Co. 3/71 A dramatic demonstration of automotive uses for plastics and chemicals was presented by Rohm and Haas Company, Philadelphia, PA., when the firm unveiled a future design car named Explorer V at the National Plastics Exposition in the International Amphitheatre in Chicago on November 11, 1968. Explorer V is the latest in a series of Rohm and Haas “idea cars.” It was designed with a strong emphasis on safety features and imaginative but functional styling. The car was created specifically for Rohm and Haas by the famed Detroit design studio of Sundberg-Ferar, Inc.
