Notes: FAIRCHILD EXPERIMENTAL SAFETY VEHICLE FOR THE U.S. DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION Fairchild’s ESV has 4 doors and accommodates a driver and 4 passengers. The model shows the clean and simple lines of the body which blend into a functional design derived from aerospace technology. The ESV, about the size of a conventional 4 door sedan, can withstand front and rear end barrier crashes at 50 miles per hour and side collisions at 40 miles per hour. Anti-lock brakes provide the vehicle with all-weather safety performance while the wrap-around bumper protects the vehicle from low-speed damage at all angles.
