Notes: Flint Motor Company, Flint, Michigan. UTMOST FRAME RIGIDITY WAS THE GOAL OF FLINT SIX ENGINEERS. IT IS OBTAINED BY THE USE OF TWO TUBULAR STEEL ENGINE SUPPROTS AND THE TUBULAR BACKBONE. A heavy channel steel frame is reinforced by the Durant Tubular Backbone and two Tubular Steel Motor Supports which continue forward the stiffening work of the backbone. The frame side members are held nearly parallel at all times. Thus body rattles, squeaks and wear are eliminated and the car absorbs road shocks through spring deflection instead of frame deflection.
