Notes: Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, Mich. Between 1904 and 1906 auto makers began designing their cars with the engines in front. This four-cylinder Ford, with the new torque-tube drive, sold for $2,000, with a top as extra equipment. The Ford Motor Company moved into the Piquette Avenue plant in 1905, and opened its first branch office in St. Louis the same year.
