Notes:

The Northeast Regional Library is the first of three major regional libraries intended to provide “central library” service to the principal areas of the city. It is second only to the Parkway Central Library in size, available resources, and number of staff, thereby offering more in-house services than the local neighborhood branches.

This is the architect's rendering for the branch, ca. 1960. The ground-breaking was in July of 1962; the branch opened in late 1963.

Located near the intersection of Cottman and Bustleton Avenues, it serves the greater northeast area as a regional library, and the entire city for research.
