Notes:
The Northeast Regional Library, which opened in late 1963, is the first of three major regional libraries intended to provide “central library” service to the principal areas of the city. It is second only to the Parkway Central Library in size, available resources and number of staff.
This ca. 1960 cross-sectional rendering shows the modern, multi-level layout of the regional library.
Located near the intersection of Cottman and Bustleton Avenues, it serves the greater northeast area as a regional library, and the entire city for research.
