Horticultural Hall, Fairmount Park. Philadelphia, PA.
Built as part of the 1876 Centennial Exhibition, the huge structure was designed in the Moorish style by Herman J. Scharzman. Supposed to be a permanent building long after the Exhibition, it fell into disrepair and was badly damaged by Hurricane Hazel in 1954. It was finally demolished in 1955.
