The Paschalville Branch of the Free Library was first established, rent free, in the ground floor of the house pictured here, at the corner of 70th Street & Woodland Avenue. It was in use from March 1900 until 1913, when it was torn down to make way for a new Andrew Carnegie-funded building, which opened on the same site in 1915.
The Paschalville Branch serves the Paschalville and Elmwood neighborhoods.
