Notes:

Katsukawa Shunsho was a founder of the Katsukawa School. Shunsho focused on the realitic portraits of actors. Rather than focusing on the character the actors were portraying he focused on the actor's individual faces or facial expressions. Shunsho intruduced an aspect of individualism to  Ukiyo-e actor portraits or Yakusha-e.
