Notes: This image shows the antiphon for Vespers of the Nativity, "Rex pacificus magnificatus est, cuius vultum desiderat universa terra" (The King of peace is exaulted and the whole world desires to see his face).

The similarities between this manuscript and Lewis E 221 and 222 suggest that they were all made as part of a set. The colophons at the end of 221 and 222 tell that they were made at the Monastery of Belém in 1548 at the request of John III of Portugal.
