Notes: Exterior design of the 1971 Galaxie (top) is "crisper" with smooth flowing lines for a more formal overall appearance. The Galaxie front and rear end treatment differs only slightly from the LTD models. Optional on all big Fords in'71 is a new 400-c.i.d. 2V V-8 powerplant. Standard trim in the Galalxie (bottom) features a new color-keyed instrument panel complemented by new door panels, upholstery patterns and fabrics, seta and door trim and numerous other interior refinements.
