Notes: Ford's new 1971 Pinto, a two-door sedan, combines a small-car feel with a sporty-car look. The sloping windshield is accented by the low, sleek lines of the hood and fenders. Ventless side windows add to the trim lines of the car. In the rear, Pinto's short deck and fastback lines stress the contemporary look of the Seventies. The pinto is about 13.5 feet long, turns in a circle of only 31 feet for easy maneuverability and delivers more than 25 miles per gallon in city-suburban driving.
