Notes: Ford Division Public Relations, Dearborn, Mich. The rear end of the 1972 Thunderbird features a full-width, 10-bulb taillamp. All bulbs illuminate to serve as running lights when needed, while the two outboard bulbs on each side operate as stop lights and turn signals. Large rectangular back-up lights are mounted in the rear bumper flanking the license plate. The plate swings down to reveal the fuel tank cap.
