Media Type:
Photographic Prints
Source: Automobile Reference Collection
Notes: NEW BREED - Ford turns loose a "new breed" of mustangs for 1979 with aerodynamically styled two- and three-door models, roomier interiors, specially tuned suspension systems and a lineup of four-cylinder, V-6 and V-8 engines. Mustang options include speed control, adjustable tilt-wheel steering, power door locks and a flip-up open-air roof. The two-door model is shown here with a tu-tone paint treatment, optional Michelin TRX tires and forged-aluminum metric wheels, and Mustang's Sport Option including black window frames, rocker-panel moldings and bumper rub strips.
