Notes: CONVERTIBLE FUN - After a nine-year absence, the Mustang convertible - one of the most famous "open Fords" of them all - has returned to the streets of America. The convertible was designed from the outset as a complete and uncompromised car with a fully usable rear seat, rolldown quarter windows, a glass rear window and a complete, factory-installed structural reinforcement package. "Best of all, it's a Mustang - a fun-to-drive car with the inherent sportiness of a convertible," said Louis E. Lataif, Ford vice-president and Ford Division general manager. "The basic styling of Mustang is made to order for a convertible - top up or down."
