Low and sleek, as befits a car whose lineage includes such exotic competition machines as the Ford GT, this Mustang 2 + 2 Fastback features all-new sheet metal for 1967. The roof line has a clean, unbroken sweep downward to the distinctive, concave rear panel. The functional air louvers in the roof rear quarters are thinner than previously. The GTA model shown here features a 390 CID V-8 engine and a Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic transmission which permits the driver to shift gears manually or automatically. The Mustang goes on display in dealer showrooms Friday, sept. 30 1966.
