TEMPO DIESEL – The aerodynamic front-wheel-drive Ford Tempo, introduced in May as a 1984 model, is offered this fall with an optional 2.0-liter diesel engine and a five speed manual transaxle. Available with the versatile four-door or the sporty two-door, the new engine has an EPA fuel economy rating of 41 miles per gallon in the city and 56 on the highway.
