ESCORT AND TEMPO STRESS PERFORMANCE – The big news for the hot-selling Ford Escort is the return of the GT series (top). This performance-oriented model features unique exterior and interior appearance plus special equipment including a multiple-port electronic fuel injection engine, suspension and P195/60HR15 tires on eight-spoke aluminum wheels. While all 1986 Tempo models offer new front- and rear-end treatments highlighted by new aero-style halogen headlamps and full-width taillamps, the performance-oriented Sport GL (bottom) adds special appearance features plus performance equipment including a 2300 HSO (High Specific Output) engine, higher 3.73 final drive ration and handling suspension package.
