Frontenac Straight Eight “Burt” Single Sleeve Valve phaeton, after completion of about 11,000 miles of test on speedway and Indiana roads. There is also a Sedan type of this new Single sleeve valve eight which will be mounted on the same chassis with 140 inch wheelbase. E.L. Jacoby, well known automotive executive is president of the Frontenac Motors Corporation and Louis Chevrolet is vice president and chief engineer.it is now more than three years since Chevrolet’s first straight eight (also a Frontenac) won with 1921 Indianapolis Motor Speedway 500 with Tommy Hilton at the wheel. The company is an entirely new one and has no connection with the Frontenac which Ryan backed into the scrap when his failure forced other companies to the wall two years ago.
