This gasoline-electric hybrid is one of three experimental 512 series of special purpose cars developed by General Motors Engineering Staff. Its power system consists of a 12 cubic inch gasoline engine coupled with a series DC electric motor through an electro-magnetic clutch. It runs either in electric or hybrid mode.
