Notes:

Latest in a series of experimental vehicles by which General Motors tests the practicality of new ideas, the Chevrolet XP-700 Corvette dispalys a host of advanced design and safety features. Included in an array of innovations are a glare eliminating “bubble top”, a new idea in cockpit air circulation, periscope type rear vision mirror, brake cooling air scoops and a “floating” grille guard. The specially built fiberglass body is only four feet high. The chassis is conventional Corvette production. The car was designed by General Motors Styling, under the direction of William L. Mitchell, Vice President in Charge.
