Quiet bodies are a feature of H.C.S. cars, due principally to the fact that the doors, of the flush type, are set into malleable cast frames extending around the full opening of the door. In this way there is no possible chance for the door to become loose or to rattle in the door frame, all latches and rubber bumpers being set in the malleable cast frame. In addition, all floor boards, toe boards and the body itself rest on felt padding, thereby eliminating noises common to the ordinary body construction.
