Haynes Automobile Company, Kokomo, Indiana
Like ringing the bell for the maid, this famous Haynes-built light six motor responds instantly to pressure upon the starter button placed efficaciously on the instrument board. This instrument board groups all the essential instruments, including the oil gauge, the ammeter, the speedometer, the starter button and the combination lighting and ignition switch, into a compact semi-circle within easy reach of the right hand of the driver. The carburetor control, or choke, is mounted on the right side of the steering column with a gasoline gauge placed adjacently. Concentrated efficiency and a much neater looking panel are the results of this instrument board, only one of the many improvements incorporated into the beautiful nee Haynes 57 Standard 5-passenger Touring Car.
