Hand-drawn; hand-colored. Along the sides of the item are leafy stems with four tulips each. In the upper center is a star-shaped patern within a circle. Along the lower edge runs a band. Small drawings, often lacking inscriptions and referred to as bookmarks by collectors, were given by schoolmasters to their students as rewards for good behavior and scholastic accomplishments.
