Mein Heyland Nimmt Die Sünder An, \ die Unter Ihrer last der Sünden kein Mensch kein Engel Trösten \ kan, die nirgend Ruh noch Rettung finden, denen selbst die \ weite welt zu klein, die sich und Gott Ein greuel seyn, denen Mo \ ses schon den Stab gebrochen, und sie der Hölle zugesprochen \ wird diese freystadt Aufgethan, Mein Heyland nimmt die Sün \ der an. 2. Sein mehr als Mutterliches hertz, Trieb Ihn von Seinem \ Thron auf Erden, Ihn Drang der Sünder Noth und Schmertz, an Ih \ rer statt ein fluch zu werden, Er sanck in Ihre bitten Noth und \ schmeckt den unverdienten Tod, und da Er nun dein Theures le \ ben vor sie zum Löß=Geld hingegeben, und seinem Vatter gnug \ gethan, so heißts Er nimmt die Sünder an. 3. Nun ist sein Aufge \ thaner Schoos Ein suhres Schloß gejagter Seelen, Er sfrüht sie von \ dein Urtheil los, und stillet bald ihr ängstlich Quälen, Er wird \ ihr gantzes Sünden=Heer Ins Ungegründte Tieffe Meer Von \ Seinem Theuren blut versuncket, der Geist der ihnen wird geschen \ ket führt hin zur Vatters Lebens=bahn. Mein Heyland nimmt \ die Sünder an. 4. So bringt Er sie dem Vatter hin, In Seinem \ Blut befloßene Armen. das neiget dann den Vatter Sinn zu \ lauter Ewigen Erbarmen Er nimmt sie sich zu Kindern an \ Ja alles was Er ist und kan, wird Ihnen Eigen übergeben.

Translation:

My Savior receives sinners, whom no man, no angel can comfort under the burden of their sins, who can nowhere find piece nor salvation, for whom even the vast world is too small, who are an abomination to themselves and to God, for whom Moses already broke his staff, and who are destined for hell. This free city is opened up; my Savior receives sinners.
2. His more than motherly heart drove him from his throne to earth. The sinners’ need and pain urged him to become a curse in their stead. He sank into their bitter needs and tasted an undeserved death. And since he know gives up his precious life as a ransom for them and has done enough for his father, it means he receives sinners.
3. Now is his opened lap a sure fortress for hunted souls. He frees them from the judgments and calms their anxious torrent. Their whole host of sin is sunk into the bottomless ocean of his precious blood. The spirit that is given to them leads to the Father’s path of life. My Savior receives sinners.
4. So he brings them to the Father in his blood-drenched arms. This moves the Father’s mind to much eternal mercy. He takes them on as children. Yes, everything he is and can do will be granted to them as their own.
