Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur within an oval frame is in the center of the document. The area around the words is decorated with various patterns, including rosettes. The frame is flanked by leafy stems of flowers. In the upper center are two inward-looking birds, and in the lower center is a flower pot. The entire item is enclosed by a decorative border. This drawing is on the back of an engraving that was once the first page of a New Testament. The engraving illustrates Matthew 3:2, in which Jesus is speaking to his disciples.
