Translation:

You children, obey your parents for this is right. Honor your father and mother; this is the first commandment that has a promise. That you may be well and live long on earth. And you fathers, don’t provoke your children to anger, but instead raise them in discipline and instruction in the Lord. You servants, be obedient to your earthly masters with fear and trembling, in fatuity of your heart, as to Christ. Not with service alone before your eyes, to please men, but instead as servants of Christ, that you do God’s will from the heart, with a good will. Know that you serve the Lord and not men. And know that whatever good anyone does, he will receive from the Lord, whether he is a servant or free. November, the 24th, 1811.

Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text, with the first three lines in Fraktur and the remainder in German script, extends across the entire document. The initial letter of the first word is prominently written and framed by a rectangular border. The entire document is enclosed by a border decorated with flowers. The floral border resembles several other fraktur made by an unknown schoolmaster in Lower Salford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. See Hershey, This Teaching I Present, pp. 136-137.
