Nun dancket \ Alle Gott Mit Herzen Mund Und Händen, \ Der grosse dinge thut An uns und allen enden, der uns von muterleib und kindes= \ beinen an Unzählig viel zu gut, und noch jetz und gethan.
2. Der ewig reiche Gott woll uns bey unserem leben Ein immer frölich herz und edlen \ frieden geben, Und uns in seiner gnad Erhalten fort und fort, Und uns aus aller noth \ Erlösen hier und dort. 3. Lob, Ehr und Preis sey Gott, Dem Vater und dem Sohn, \ Und dem der beyden gleich Im hohen Himmels=thron, Dem dreyeinigen Gott, Als der im \ anfang war, und ist und bleiben wird Jetz und und immerdar.

Translation:

Now all thank God with heart, mouth and hands, who does great deeds to us and all ends, who from mother’s womb and childhood has done countless good, and still does.
2. The eternally bountiful God may give us in our life an always cheerful heart and noble peace. And maintain us in his grace forth and forth, and free us from all needs here and there.
3. Praise, honor and glory be God, the father and the son, and the one who is equal to both in the highest throne of heaven, the triune God, who was in the beginning, and is, and will remain now and forever.
Johannes Gehmann has produced this on the 22^nd day November, in the year 1810.

Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The main text, with the first four lines in Fraktur and the remainder in German script, extends across the entire document. The first two words are written in especially prominent calligraphy. Above and next to it are leafy stems of flowers. The entire document is enclosed by a decorative border. The hymn was written by Martin Rinkart (1636).
Another signed fraktur by Gehmann is dated 1806 and signed “John Gahman.” An attributed house blessing dated 1807 for a family in Bally, Washington Township, Berks County is also extant and it is thought Gehmann worked in this area.
