Notes:
Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur and German script is in the lower center of the document. Above it and on the sides is a border that is decorated with triangles, flowers, and hearts. The text is taken from a hymn found in both the Lancaster and Franconia Conference Mennonite hymnals. According to Frederick S. Weiser, the creation place is probably Lancaster County. For a related Vorschrift made for Jacob Huber and dated March 11, 1808, see FLP 356.
