Translation:

To Whom you forgive something, he will also forgive; I, if I forgive someone anything, I forgive for your sake, in Christ’s place. 2 Cor. 11:10.

I must count on Jesus alone if I want to walk the path to life. He is the way and also the light. Whoever follows him is not mistaken. He was given to us by the Father as the way to the truth and life. He is the way and the door, and he will remain it forever, for all those who here on earth want to become God’s children. Through this path all the devout come to the Father as children. The Father takes them on as heirs if they avoid all evil desires and give themselves completely to the truth. Then he will give them life and he will lead them out of the suffering in the heavenly hall of joy. Amen. [ill.]

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The first three lines in Fraktur are in the upper portion of the document. The first line is written in particularly prominent and decorative letters. Above it is a bird formed by calligraphic scrolls, and in the upper right corner is a bunch of tulips. One verse in Fraktur within a square frame is in the lower left corner. The remainder of the text in German script extends across the lower portion of the document.  The entire document is framed by a decorative border. The text in German script is on the reverse.
