Kündlich Groß Ist das \ Gottselige Geheimniß, Gott Ist Offenbaret im Fleisch Gerechtfertiget im Geist, Erschienen \ Den Engeln Gepretiget Den Heyden Geglaubet von Der Welt, Aufgenommen In die Herrlichkeit, Timoteum 3. Vers. 16. 
Eins Christen Hertz sehnt sich nach Hohen dingen, Ein erdisch Hertz nach dem Was Erdisch Heißt, Hält Gott die Seel, kan sie kein \ Welt=Geist zwingen, weil Gottes krafft sie stärckt und zu sich reisst, Gott Ist getreu wenn man sich zu ihm wendet; fängt \ Er wohl an, Er mittelt und vollendet V. 2. Ja Er kommt selbst zuvor mit seiner Gnade, Er füret uns und will uns zu sich zie= \ hen, Es schätzt der Herr sofort die Arme Made, ob sie gleich sollt mit Jonah vor ihm fliehen, Liebt er sie doch, und will gantz ungern lassen \ das Sünden=kind Er sucht es zu umfassen. V. 3. Ach öffne mir die tiefe Meiner Sünden, Laß mich auch sehn die Tiefe deiner gnad, Laß keine \ Ruh mich suchen oder finden, Als nur Bey dem der solche für mich hat, der da gerufen: Ich will euch Erquicken, wenn Euch die Sünd \ und ihre last recht drücken. V. 4. O Theures Lamm! Das dort Johannes sahe, Wie es von anfang her Erwürget ist, Nimm weg von mir die \ Sünd und sey mir nahe, daß Ich dich seh und schmecke wie du bist, Laß Mich durch dich O Lamm recht überwinden, Mein gröstes Creutz \ die Greuel meiner Sünden. V. 5. Gib Mir ein Reines Hertz damit Ich sehe was kein Natürlich Aug gesehen hat: Gib deine Lieb ins \ Herz daß Ich verstehe, Was nie ein mensch Erfahren in der that: laß mich doch vom Verborgnen Manna essen, und dein O Jesu Ewig \ nicht vergessen. V. 6. So soll dein lob dann von mir stets Erklingen, So lang ich noch in dieser schwachheit bin, dort aber werd ich dir ein \ Neu lied singen, Inzwischen nimm das Lallen von mir hin, bis ich dort werde von den Seraphinen in deinem tempel Tag und nacht dienen.

Kommt herzu ihr Turtel-Tauben, Lasset Hören euren klang, sproßt \ Herfür ihr Rothen Trauben, Nachtigal Auch dein \ gesang, soll erfreuen Meine Lieben, kein leid soll sie Me[r] be= \ trüben, kein Mond und kein Sonnen licht soll sie förter \ stechen nicht. Haleluia. Singt ihr frommen, denn ihr solt bald \ dort hin kommen, da euch selbst das Lamm wird leiden. \ Und in Rosen-Gärtlein weiden. 
 

Translation:

Great indeed is the godly mystery. God was revealed in the flesh, vindicated in the spirit, appeared to the angels, preached to the heathens, believed by the world, taken up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

[1.] A Christian heart desires many high things; an earthly heart desires what is earthly. If God keeps the soul, no earthly spirit can dissuade it, because God’s power strengthens it and pulls it toward him. God is faithful when one turns to him; if he begins, he mediates and completes.
2. Yes, he appears himself with his grace; he leads us and he wants to pull us toward him. The Lord values the poor mite; even if it right away flees with Jonah, he loves it anyway and will not like to let go of the child of sin; he tries to grasps it.
3. O, open to me the depth of my sin. Let me also see the depth of your grace. Do not let me seek and find peace but with whom who has it for me, who has called: I want to refresh you when your sin and its burden truly oppress you.
4. O dear lamb, that Johannes saw there, how it was strangled from the beginning. Take away from me the sin and be close to me, so that I can see you and taste how you are. Let me though you, o Lamb, rightly overcome my greatest cross, the horrors of my sins.
5. Give me a pure heart so that I can see what no natural eye has seen: Give your love in the heart so that I understand what no person has in fact experienced. Let me eat from the hidden manna and never forget you, O Jesus.
6. So shall your praise then always ring from me as long as I am still in this weakness. But there I shall sing you a new song. Meanwhile accept this stammering by me, until I shall serve with the seraphim in your temple day and night.

Come here you turtle doves, let us hear your sound. Sprout firth, you red grapes, nightingale, your song as well shall delight my dear, no suffering shall sadden them anymore, no moon and sun light shall from now on smite them. Hallelujah. Sing, you pious, for you shall soon come there where the lamb itself will lead you and graze in rose gardens.
